The Manah Solar IPP Project, also known as Manah-1, is a groundbreaking 500 MW solar power initiative located in Oman’s Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Developed by Wadi Noor Solar Power Company—a joint venture between EDF Renewables and Korea Western Power Co. Ltd (KOWEPO)—the project is part of Oman’s national goal to enhance renewable energy’s share and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Spanning over 7.8 km², the solar facility will deploy over 1 million bifacial PV modules mounted on advanced single-axis trackers to maximize solar capture. Expected to generate enough power for more than 60,000 households, the project will also cut down approximately 780,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. It’s a significant step toward Oman Vision 2040’s sustainability objectives, with commercial operations targeted for Q1 of 2025.
